Old World Europe awaits on a Rhine River cruise

Tauck Exclusive – Evening at Schloss Ehreshoven

Enjoy an elegant dinner and tour at Schloss Ehreshoven

Built in the 14th century and later expanded in the grand style of a Baroque manor house, Schloss Ehreshoven is surrounded by gracious 18th-century French gardens and a castle park. For nearly a century the castle has been the heart of a charitable foundation whose main mission includes providing a home for unmarried aristocratic ladies without means in their golden years. Frequently used as a location for movies and TV shows, the Schloss provides an elegant setting for Tauck's exclusive cocktail reception and dinner, hosted by a member of the family.

A cruise on Amsterdam's canals

A unique perspective of Amsterdam as you cruise its canals

Amsterdam is a vibrant blend of the historic and the contemporary, from its medieval core and 17th-century canals to the rich cosmopolitan life of a 21st-century European metropolis. This is never more evident than on the guided boat cruise you'll take along the network of centuries-old, flower-rimmed waterways that flow through this nearly car-free city of gracious gabled mansions, lots of people on bikes, and more canals than Venice! It all makes for a refreshing perspective on the city.

I traveled the Rhine and Moselle in Fall and it couldn't have been a more beautiful time to be on the river. Even on gray days, the sights were terrific and sometimes truly breathtaking.

Enhanced Covid Health Protocols

Tauck Care and Global Response

Keeping our guests safe and secure has always been of paramount importance at Tauck. While we cannot predict or prevent events outside of our control, we have learned to expect the unexpected. In fact, we've planned for it and have safeguards, protocols and teams in place to deal with any eventualities. You'll travel with a comprehensive, built-in support system that starts with the care and local knowledge of our Tauck Directors and extends to our network of partners around the world, including hoteliers and transportation companies.

Our Global Response Team stands ready to respond to situations around the world. Over the past two decades, they have successfully led us through a variety of challenges around the world, from weather events, high and low water on rivers, work stoppages and more. We are well prepared for Covid. We provide assurance and comfort in knowing that help is readily available if and when it's ever needed.

River Journeys:

Tauck has worked closely with our supplier partners around the world to deliver the comfort and safety you expect. The following are just some of the enhanced protocols we have put in place for Covid to provide you with the peace of mind you expect:

• Regular health screenings, face coverings worn in public gatherings, even more rigorous cleaning and sanitation measures in public spaces and cabins

• More intimate and private dining, with seatings that limit the number of guests at one time

• Crowd-free lounge areas and activities, on and off the boat, geared for small group advantages

•  Ship staff and crew trained in the latest protocols, prepared for any eventuality, and well supported to take the necessary steps to ensure your comfort and safety

•  Because you will be cruising on a river and not on the open sea, you are never far from land and, therefore, there is no doctor on board. In case of emergency we can easily dock the boat and call for an ambulance or medical assistance.

These protocols may vary by destination and will evolve over time. Please check for the latest updates at tauck.com/travel-updates
