Along Europe's Scenic "Yellow Roads"

Essential London and quintessential Paris are yours on a weeklong extravaganza whose sensory pleasures will last forever. English traditions and French fare... history and intrigue, from jeweled crowns to garden mazes to ancient alleyways... the best of two of the world's most exciting cities, London and Paris, are yours each day...

Windsor Castle, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the British Museum... a birds-eye view of London from the Eye, one of the world’s tallest ferris wheels... spend an afternoon having afternoon tea; dine at a top chef's London restaurant; and spend an unforgettable night at a West End theatre... Cross the Channel Tunnel aboard Eurostar to Paris, where the colorful street stalls of Montmartre and the masterpieces of the Louvre, on a privately guided tour, await... revel in the awesome majesty of Versailles and attend a private farewell dinner cruise on the River Seine. Select departures include a presentation by author, TV presenter and Churchill granddaughter Celia Sandys, while select special small group departures feature a dinner presentation by Carolyn Robb, co-founder of The Royal Touch and former Executive Chef to the royal household of TRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana; and other departures, specially priced, include an exclusive after-hours visit to the Louvre in Paris. Meet Carolyn Robb, former Chef to the Royal Family

Day 1

On select departures – Exclusive dinner presentation by Carolyn Robb, former Executive Chef to the Royal Family

Carolyn Robb – co-founder of The Royal Touch and formerly Executive Chef to TRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana – gives a special welcome dinner presentation in London on select small group departures of “A Week In… London & Paris.” Ms. Robb presents anecdotes from her time as Personal Chef to the royal household of TRH Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry, and introduces a welcome dinner menu featuring a favorite dish of the Royal Family. Available on select small group departures; ask at booking.

Meet Celia Sandys, granddaughter of Winston Churchill

Day 2

On select departures – Travels with Grandpapa: Meet author Celia Sandys, granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill

According to his granddaughter Celia Sandys, Sir Winston Churchill, that iconic British statesman who led his country to victory during World War II, “loved to travel.” It was where he was “most relaxed.” She would know. At age 16 she became his frequent traveling companion, exploring places together that inspired his personal passions. Celia especially enjoyed accompanying him to France on his painting outings where she had him all to herself. You’ll have her all to yourself when she shares her memories of grandpapa with you during a special presentation in London. Available on select small group departures; ask at booking.

Exclusive, after-hours evening visit to Musée du Louvre

Day 5

Avoid the usual crowds with an exclusive after-hours visit to the Musée du Louvre on select departures

The world’s most visited museum, the Musée du Louvre houses 35,000 works of art, dating from prehistoric days to contemporary times. Eight million people flock here each year excited to see masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, a resident since 1797; the Winged Victory, dating to 190 BC; the Greek goddess Venus de Milo; and other priceless paintings and sculptures too numerous to list. Now, imagine viewing those treasures without the usually huge crowds that visit this place... which is what you'll do on our exclusive private after-hours evening visit to Musée du Louvre. Available on select departures; ask at booking.

It was an outstanding first class tour, very full, but well paced, we could never have seen as much as we did had we been on our own.

Small Group Departures

Our small group departures, averaging just 24 guests, are designed for travelers who want more time to experience each destination up close and personally. One of the benefits of small group travel is the personalized service and attention you’ll enjoy. Small groups enable our Tauck Directors to spend more time in the places you explore with more opportunities to connect with them. Smaller groups foster camaraderie and lasting friendships among like-minded travelers; you'll engage more closely with local experts and enjoy enhanced insider access, ease of travel and freedom to linger longer.

Solo Traveler Savings

Traveling solo doesn't mean traveling alone – with Tauck, it means camaraderie on a journey with like-minded travelers who share similar interests, enjoying the spirit of travel that makes exploring the world a necessary part of life – and sharing the special travel experiences found on Tauck’s guided land trips and cruises that create lifetime memories. For 90+ years, solo travelers have found a special "travel" home with Tauck in destinations the world over – and we’re offering solo travelers an additional reason to travel with Tauck – special Solo Traveler Savings on select departures.
