Below are details on our guest Travel Agreements, Entry and Travel Requirements for specific tours and cruises operating in 2022, local COVID-19 Testing Sites and Frequently Asked Questions.
All guests traveling with Tauck will have to sign two important agreements on the first day of their land tour or cruise. By signing the Travel Well Pledge, you assume personal responsibility for your own health, to help protect the well-being of fellow travelers, the Tauck staff, our supplier partners and the places we visit. By signing the Waiver of Liability, you assume all risks in the unlikely event you are exposed to, or infected by, COVID-19. Hard copies of these documents will be provided for your signature by your Tauck Director.
Please note that your Tauck Director will provide copies of these documents for your signature on the first day of your trip. Preview these agreements below:

The safety and comfort of our guests has always been of paramount concern to Tauck. We have worked diligently to give you the peace of mind you expect. However, there is no way to eliminate all possible risks while traveling and Tauck therefore cannot assume liability in the unlikely event you contract COVID-19. This is the reason for the necessity of the following waiver of liability:
The novel coronavirus, Covid-19, (herein “COVID-19) has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state and local governments have recommended physical distancing, limiting group sizes in some locations and wearing face coverings.
Tauck, Inc. (“Tauck”) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, Tauck cannot guarantee that you or your travel party will not become infected with Covid-19. In fact, traveling on a Tauck trip and participating in its activities could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in the Tauck trip and that such infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming infected by COVID-19 on a Tauck trip may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to Tauck employees, suppliers (and their employees) and other passengers. I understand that complete knowledge of the risk factors of contracting COVID-19 is not complete and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury, illness, death or any other loss. I agree that having considered these risks, I desire to participate in the tour and I freely and voluntarily assume complete personal responsibility for the risk of exposure, illness and death due to COVID-19, even if such injuries or death occur in a manner that is not foreseeable at the time this agreement is signed.
I for myself, and on behalf of my and their heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability or expense of any kind that I may experience or incur in connection with my Tauck trip and its activities (“Claims”). I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge and hold harmless Tauck, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims. Including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or related thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Tauck, its employees, agents and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Tauck trip.
I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER OF LIABILITY, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
I agree that if any portion is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. No additions, deletions or changes can be made to the release form, and signing it is a requirement for joining the trip.

Destinations around the world have instituted new measures like testing requirements, health insurance coverage, or specific restrictions on travel. The below link provides entry and travel requirements for specific tours and cruises currently operating in 2022. Please read carefully as these guidelines are in addition to Tauck's requirements.
To learn about entry requirements and guidelines for international tours and cruises not yet operating in 2022, the CIBT Entry Guide is an excellent resource.
Health and safety requirements vary across carriers and can change with little notice as conditions and scientific knowledge warrant. Please check with your carrier before your fly. Following are links to health and safety guidelines for many of the major airlines:

We are reaching out to guests and travel advisors in chronological order, beginning with those guests scheduled to travel soonest, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know that when conditions allow, we are primed and ready to operate.
Please check our Travel and Health pages often for the latest information.
In addition to being fully vaccinated, other health and safety protocols vary county-to-county, state-to-state, and even town-to-town. Tauck and our suppliers are committed to following local mandates and requirements. Because the guidelines can change quickly, often without notice, it is not possible for us to provide detailed protocols for your itinerary. Some destinations and suppliers may require masks and physical distancing even for vaccinated guests. Examples of other measures that may be required based on venue and location are: distanced seating for outdoor and indoor dining, no self-service buffets, use of disposable utensils/plate/cups at dining venues, staggered admission times to enter museums, etc. Note that current measures are likely to be different by the time you travel. Tour Directors will have the most up-to-date information and will share with guests.
Our current assumption is that our vaccination requirement, Travel Well Pledge and Waiver of Liability, will remain in effect until further notice. Our policies apply to all future bookings until conditions allow us to change them.
All Tauck guests ages 12 and over must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Testing and other requirements may vary by destination and could go beyond Tauck’s requirements..
Although we recommend that minors under age 12 be vaccinated, it is currently not required to keep our policy aligned with the entry requirements of the destinations we visit.
Unvaccinated minors under 12 are required to present a negative result from a PCR test taken within three days of departing for their Tauck trip.
Yes. Tauck requires all guests ages 12 and over to bring a certificate, such as the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, indicating that you are fully vaccinated and received the final required dose at least 14 days prior to the start of your tour or cruise.
For unvaccinated minors under the age of 12, you must bring a laboratory-issued, dated negative result from a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days of the start of your Tauck journey. We recommend that, in addition to the original paper copy of your documentation, you also bring a photograph of your proof on a mobile device as a backup.
We recommend that, in addition to the original paper copy of your documentation, you also bring a photograph of your proof on a mobile device as a backup.
Yes, you are required to be vaccinated regardless of whether you already had COVID-19. Increasingly, many of the places we visit are refusing entry for those who do not carry proof of vaccination. If you have had COVID-19 within 90 days of travel, we recommend that, in addition to your proof of vaccination, you carry documentation of your positive COVID test along with a letter or document from your healthcare provider stating that you have been cleared for travel. However, please note that some locations/suppliers requiring a negative COVID-19 test for entry will not accept the above documentation in lieu of a negative COVID test.
Testing and other requirements vary by destinations and across airlines, and this can impact requirements on a tour-by-tour basis. Please check with your airline(s) and destinations(s) to confirm their requirements, which may be different than Tauck’s. Destination-specific guidelines and links to airline protocols can be found in on our Covid-19 Entry Requirements page on tauck.com.
All guests must wear masks on tour wherever mandated by local / governmental regulations or supplier protocols.
Yes. Our Tauck Directors will adhere to the same guidelines our guests follow and we anticipate our staff will be fully vaccinated.
Yes, Tauck will arrange tests and cover the cost of this on-tour expense.
Yes, Tauck will help arrange tests and cover the cost of this on-tour expense.
Tauck will arrange testing prior to the last day of the tour. The cost of this test is not covered by Tauck. Arrangements will be made for guests to pay the vendor directly. Those staying longer in a destination after the tour has ended may need to arrange their own testing to meet return-home requirements.
We cannot say exactly what will happen since each situation is unique and every destination has different protocols in place to deal with COVID-19 cases. What we can confirm is that in every situation we follow the expertise and guidelines of the local health authorities where we are traveling and lean on our incredible network of supplier partners, office staff, and global response team to take care of all impacted guests.
In the very few situations where have experienced a positive COVID-19 test result while on tour, there has been very little to no tour disruption. Most commonly, the guest who tests positive is required to quarantine while all other guests receive additional testing and continue on with the tour experience as planned. Please note that there may be regional differences and that policies are always subject to change. However, regardless of the situation, Tauck and our partners provide continuous care and communication with those guests until they are able to safely return home.
Tauck’s Travel Protection Plans also provide additional peace of mind through worldwide emergency assistance services, trip delay coverage, and medical coverage in the event you become injured or sick during your trip. COVID-19 is considered an illness and is covered as part of Tauck’s Travel Protection plans.
