Sistine Chapel

Tauck Exclusive – "Chocolate art" in Paris

Day 5

Tasty masterpieces you'll create with your family in Paris

After being inspired by the thousands of works of art (including the Mona Lisa) at the amazing Musée du Louvre… and the spectacular views of Paris from high up in the Eiffel Tower… what better way could you find to express your creativity than on a Tauck Exclusive visit to a chocolatier for a hands-on opportunity to create (then taste) some scrumptious “chocolate art” (while parents sip a glass of wine)? And you can take your masterpiece with you when you leave!

Truffle hunting in the Umbrian hills

Day 7

Amazing trained dogs and truffles in the hills of Umbria

In Italy, they’re called tartufi; much of the world knows them as truffles. But whatever you call it, this rare, pungent (and highly perishable) fungus that grows under the ground in certain parts of Europe is one of the most expensive foods on Earth, highly prized by chefs and gourmets around the globe. Centuries ago, early truffle hunters used pigs, with their keen sense of smell, to root these treasures out of the ground… but the piggies usually ate the truffles as soon as they found them! So they began training dogs to sniff them out... like the pooches you’ll meet and go truffle hunting with after a demonstration and tasting at a family-owned farm in Umbria.

The Langham, London

Days 1, 2 and 3

Fit for a royal family... like yours

As grande dames go, The Langham, London has been the queen of hotels here for more than 150 years. She reigns over elegant Regent Street, the West End’s ultimate shopping address, close to everywhere you want to be when you’re in town. And while her ideal location is key when you want to get out and explore, what you’ll find inside this landmark hotel, fresh from an exquisite renovation... fully refurbished guest rooms and suites with every modern amenity – in-room WiFi included – a brand new luxury wellness spa with a big sparkling swimming pool, a 24 / 7 fitness center, a choice of on-site dining venues, famous afternoon high tea parties... just might make you and the kids want to stay in and play!
