Our London, Paris and Rome journey is one of our most comprehensive European vacations.

Along Europe's Scenic "Yellow Roads"

This grand tour of Europe is perfect for first-timers and travelers who want to capture the flavor of three of the world’s great capital cities and the Italian countryside – be introduced to travel experiences that are on world traveler's must-do list – inspiring, enlightening and fun, with lots of hands-on activities and opportunities to truly give you a taste of local life.

Our European journey with a sojourn in the heart of bucolic Umbria begins in London, with history and culture at Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London… a walking tour through Shakespeare’s world… a visit to the foodie haven of Borough Market… and a spin on the London Eye, soaring high above the city in a private capsule. The Eurostar whisks you across the Channel to Paris for visits to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower (with lunch in the tower)… a cruise on the River Seine… and a demonstration by a premier chocolatier. Spend a day at a magnificent château outside Paris… then fly to Italy for three days in the countryside, hunting for truffles with trained dogs, tasting local delicacies, and visiting an alpaca farm, a ceramics workshop, and a winery.  Then it’s on to Rome for an after-hours guided visit through the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel (without the crowds)... dinner at a private villa, and much, much more. Tauck Exclusive – Vatican Museums after hours

Day 10

Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel without the crowds

Founded by Pope Julius II in the early 1500s, the Vatican Museums display classical and religious works of art collected by the Popes throughout the centuries. Combined with the Sistine Chapel, they’re visited by around six million people a year, ranking among the most-visited art museums in the world. On your exclusive after-hours, guided visit, explore the Candelabra Gallery, the Map Gallery, the Tapestries, and the Sistine Chapel… without crowds. So you’ll be able to take your time to contemplate the inspirational treasures before you – including the spectacular Biblical frescoes on the ceiling, which took Michelangelo four years to paint, standing on a scaffold... and changed the course of western art.

Parisian cityscapes and lunch at the Eiffel Tower

Day 5

Ah, la Tour Eiffel...

The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, which was to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution. Only intended to last 20 years, it has remarkably endured more than 125. Since its own centennial in the 1980s, the monument has regularly been renovated, restored and adapted for an ever-growing public. Over the decades, the Tower has seen remarkable achievements, extraordinary light shows, and prestigious visitors, and served as a stage for many events of international significance. A mythical and audacious site, it has always inspired artists and challenges. And you’ll not only visit the Eiffel Tower, but enjoy lunch at the 58 Restaurant right inside this iconic Parisian landmark.

Private capsule on the London Eye

Day 3

A bird's-eye view of London from a private capsule on the London Eye

You'll feel as though you're a part of the London skyline when you get a bird’s-eye view of the city while soaring high above it in Tauck’s private observation capsule. Centuries of history are put into perspective as you gaze down from your unique perspective 450 feet above the Thames river... truly the world's most exciting observation wheel!

Palazzo Naiadi

Nights 9, 10 and 11

3 nights city-center in Rome

Splendidly situated on the curve of Piazza Repubblica, neoclassical Palazzo Naiadi combines historic grandeur, 21st-century comforts, warm personal service and an ideal location in the heart of Rome. Dating from 1887, Palazzo Naiadi (formerly Boscolo Exedra Roma) is suspended over the 4th-century Diocletian Baths complex, whose excavated foundations you can see through the ground floor. History is everywhere, but so is the fun of being alive in Rome. Sip a drink on the rooftop pool terrace and watch the sun set over the cupolas of Rome. Enjoy the view from your elegant, neoclassical-style room. Or linger over coffee or an aperitivo on the Champagnerie terrace. If the water nymphs in the fountain could speak, what stories they could tell...
