We will be sharing frequent updates regarding our re-opening plans as we learn more information. With destination entry requirements and COVID-19 regulations changing frequently, please check back often.

If you are scheduled to travel with us on a cancelled journey and have not yet heard from us, Tauck or your travel advisor will be contacting you to discuss your options. Please do not call Tauck at this time. We will be reaching out in chronological order, contacting those guests scheduled to travel soonest, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through these efforts.

If you are eager to travel with us soon, please visit our Open for Travel page to discover where and when you can travel this year as destinations reopen for travel. We can’t wait to see you back on the road with us soon!

2021 TOURS & CRUISES

UNITED STATES

We are delighted to welcome back our valued patrons on all domestic tours for the 2021 season! Please visit our Open for Travel page for up-to-date availability before the most desirable departure dates fill up.

  • Hawaii: We are aware of the recent statements by the Governor of Hawaii discouraging visits to the Islands. Thus far, this news has not impacted our upcoming departures or our ability to operate our tours. We realize this situation may change and are monitoring it carefully.

CANADA

We are delighted to welcome back Tauck guests on our Canadian tours this fall!

Please visit our Open for Travel page for up-to-date tour availability before the most desirable departure dates fill up.

EUROPE

Since June, we have been thrilled to welcome our valued patrons back to Europe by land, small ship and river cruise. We have safely hosted thousands of travelers this year with extremely high customer satisfaction scores. Since August 1, all Tauck guests traveling to Europe must be fully vaccinated.

We are aware of the recent decision by the European Union to drop the United States from its “safe list” and recommend that member nations reimpose travel-related restrictions due to the surge in COVID infections among unvaccinated Americans. This policy is not a mandate, and rest assured it is Europe’s member states who decide whether to follow the EU guidance based on local conditions. We are hopeful that the countries we visit will continue to welcome vaccinated Americans. As of today, no European entry requirements have been impacted by the EU recommendation. Tauck and your airlines will continue to monitor the protocols in place and will advise accordingly as European countries continue to evolve their own travel policies. Please visit our COVID-19 Travel Requirements for the latest requirements.

  • Switzerland: A US CDC Vaccine Record Card is now accepted in place of the Swiss COVID-19 Certificate as proof of vaccination to enter indoor dining venues and some leisure facilities in Switzerland.
  • The Netherlands: As of September 22, the Netherlands has relaxed its entry requirements for American travelers who will now be required to show a negative COVID-19 test result for entry, without a quarantine requirement. As of September 25, the Netherlands is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter restaurants, bars, theaters, and some other indoor public spaces. Some establishments may not accept the US CDC Vaccination Record Card as valid proof of vaccination and will only accept a digital certificate. At this point this will not affect any advertised tour components on our riverboat cruises. Please consult your personal documents for the specifics related to your tour.
  • The United Kingdom is currently open to travelers from the United States, but due to operational complexities with border crossing, all trips to the United Kingdom are cancelled through December 31, 2021, with the exception Cruising the Seine, plus Paris & London.
  • Greece and Turkey: The sea border between Greece and Turkey is currently closed, preventing our Treasures of the Aegean cruise from visiting Ephesus. We are hoping it will open soon and will keep these pages updated as the situation evolves.

We will notify you before your final payment is due to confirm the status of your tour or cruise.

These pages are updated frequently as the status of trips change. Should you wish to move your departure to another 2021 date before that time, please take advantage of our flexible payment terms and incur zero change fees as we work to accommodate your travel preferences.

We look forward to resuming additional trips and cruises to Europe as soon as entry requirements and suppliers permit.

LATIN AMERICA

While many countries in Latin American have reopened to tourism, we are working hard to balance our desire to safely operate as many tours and cruises as possible with delivering the level of experience you expect from Tauck.

Please visit our Open for Travel page for up-to-date tour availability before the most desirable departure dates fill up.

AFRICA

Countries in East and Southern Africa have reopened to tourism, and we are excited to resume operations later this summer.

Please visit our Open for Travel page for up-to-date tour availability before the most desirable departure dates fill up.

MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA

Countries within the Middle East and North Africa have mostly reopened to tourism, and we are assessing the right timeline to resume operations to ensure the safety of our guests and the level of experience you expect from Tauck.

  • Israel and Jordan: Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to operate our tours to Israel and Jordan due to current entry restrictions. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel affected trips to Israel and Jordan through December 31, 2021. For all guests departing February 2022 or later, we will notify you before your final payment is due to confirm the status of your tour or cruise.
Please visit our Open for Travel page for up-to-date tour availability before the most desirable departure dates fill up.

ASIA

At this time, we are unable to operate our itineraries due to current travel restrictions.

  • India: Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to operate our tours to India due to current entry restrictions. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel affected trips to India through March 31, 2022. For all guests departing April 2022 or later, we will notify you before your final payment is due to confirm the status of your tour or cruise.

With the exception of our India tours, all trips to Asia are cancelled through December 31, 2021. For all guests departing on January 1, 2022 or later, we will notify you before your final payment is due to confirm the status of your tour or cruise. Should you wish to move your departure to another date before that time, please take advantage of flexible payment terms and no change fees as we work to accommodate your travel needs.

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND

At this time, we are unable to operate our itineraries due to current travel restrictions.

Due to these challenges, all trips to Australia and New Zealand are cancelled through March 31, 2022. For all guests departing on April 1, 2022 or later, we will notify you before your final payment is due to confirm the status of your tour or cruise. Should you wish to move your departure to another date before that time, please take advantage of flexible payment terms and no change fees as we work to accommodate your travel needs.

2022 TOURS & CRUISES

At the current time, Tauck plans to operate the majority scheduled tour and cruise departures as planned in 2022. We believe most of the regulations preventing us from currently running many of our tours and cruises will be relaxed by January 2022. We look forward to returning to normal operations and welcoming back our valued patrons in destinations across the globe.

We continue to make every effort to provide the most up-to-date information on the status of your tour or cruise. However, please know that as we share the above plans, we recognize there are events outside our control that we cannot predict or prevent. While the above details may evolve over time, what won’t change is our commitment to doing everything possible to deliver the quality experience and peace of mind you expect when traveling with Tauck. We hope you will share this spirit of adventure with us as we hit the road once again.

Travel Policy Updates For Our Guests

Important Vaccination Policy Update

  • As our partners and the places we visit have increasingly required that all visitors be vaccinated, it has become clear that it is no longer possible to accommodate unvaccinated guests and provide the quality experience you expect from Tauck. Therefore, effective September 7, 2021, all guests ages 12 and over are required to be vaccinated and to carry proof with them, such as the CDC Vaccination Record Card, at all times while traveling with Tauck. There are no exceptions to this requirement, which is in place until further notice.
  • Additional information regarding all COVID-19 travel requirements can be found here.

For travel scheduled for September 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021

  • Final payment for all scheduled July 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021 Tauck land tours and cruises is now due 60 days prior to departure, instead of our standard final payment terms. We have extended this date to enable you to make the best personal decision with regard to your planned trip as close to your scheduled departure date as possible.
  • All cancellation penalties will be frozen at the lowest tier and will not increase prior to your departure date. Under our amended policy, cancellation fees will remain frozen at the lowest tier and will not increase prior to departure date. By freezing cancellation penalties, if you purchased Guest or Cruise Protection and cancel your trip, the cost of the Guest or Cruise Protection fee is Dreamsaved. If you did not purchase Guest or Cruise Protection, the cost of your deposit will be Dreamsaved. *In either case Dreamsaved, funds are available for you to use for future travel. Any other monies paid to Tauck towards the cost of the trip will be refunded. Any Dreamsavers funds already applied to a cancelled reservation will be reinstated.
  • If you cancel your booking within 60 days of departure: to offer additional peace of mind, Tauck has now lowered penalties for cancellation to the most lenient tier inside of final payment as referenced in the grid below.
