Welcome aboard Le Ponant

From the moment you step on board the decks of Le Ponant, you will be enveloped by feelings of luxury. Stand on the top deck as the wind of the Mediterranean and Caribbean help glide the three-masted schooner style ship along the ocean seascape. Feel the warm winds brush against your face as your look out onto the horizon, ready for the adventures that lie ahead...

Given her size, shallow draft and a design that is very open to the sea (with a large sundeck, an outdoor restaurant, and easy access to the sea for swimming from her marina), Le Ponant – PONANT’s symbolic flagship – gives passengers the feeling they are aboard a private yacht. Onboard, you’ll find four decks featuring a small library with a choice of books, cozy lounge with evening piano music, small boutique, and a full-service bar. Continental breakfast is served in your stateroom or at an American-style buffet in the outdoor panoramic restaurant; lunch is also served in the outdoor restaurant, buffet style; and dinner is served nightly in the window-lined restaurant. Staterooms (approximately 130 sq. ft.) are all outside on Le Ponant and include a private bathroom with shower, mini bar, multi-channel music system, individual climate control, and a telephone with world-wide satellite access.

Onboard Experience

Wake up aboard the majestic sailing ship Le Ponant in an outside-facing stateroom custom-made for your cruising comfort… featuring a host of amenities including luxury bedding and French toiletries, and a private bathroom with shower. Breakfast tempts… enjoyed in one of two elegant onboard restaurants with a decidedly French twist, where the waiters come to know your name. After breakfast, you may venture off the ship for a morning of guided sightseeing ashore, or indulge in onboard pleasures that are the mainstay of the yachting set – because this elegant schooner feels very much like a private yacht. Lunch as you choose… onboard, or perhaps staying ashore to sample the local fare in today’s port of call. Beverages, from soft drinks to house wine and spirits, complement your mood and are available onboard throughout the day. Afternoon invites more exploration ashore… or relaxation onboard, whether it’s cuddling up with a good book… enjoying a cocktail with a friend or two in one of the ship’s two lounges…attending an insightful lecture by an onboard expert… or going for a swim right from the ship’s marina at the stern. This evening, dine with new friends – or enjoy a romantic dinner for two – in Le Diamant on the Antigua Deck. Nighttime brings out the stars in the sky above… and there’s nothing like sailing under them on the open deck! And when it’s time to turn in, your bed will be turned down… often with a sweet treat on your pillow, along with tomorrow’s itinerary. You’ll close your eyes and sleep to the rhythm of the seas aboard Ponant’s beautiful three-masted flagship, Le Ponant. Read Less
